We had our second Mystery Skype today with a 4th grade class in Ohio. It was a big learning experience. At our debrief meeting afterward we talked about why this MS didn't go as well as the other one had, and how we might do things differently next time. One student noted that the other class was loud, often difficult to understand, and sometimes did things to intentionally throw us off, like using a fake Southern accent (we know it was fake because we heard them talking about it). We talked about how when we're connecting with others through MS we are not only representing QAE, we're representing Seattle and even Washington state. We had a great conversation about working collaboratively and showing integrity when we're connecting with others.
