4th graders were allowed to play in all three classrooms. Our room hosted a very lively ping pong game that evolved into a tournament. Some of us played Machi Koro (new to me & quite fun), some played Battleship, some made fortune catchers, some worked on creating a book, some made a fort and played Mancala inside and some played Kerplunk.
In the afternoon we had some wonderful play time with our Reading Buddies from Ms. Eakin's class.
We participated in the 2nd Annual Global School Play Day today. Before we began we had a conversation around the question Why is play important? This is what we came up with:
